The Xenophon Hotel is a nice, cheap hotel. The (main)street in front of the hotel is very loud. The breakfast is not very tasty, but for the price ok. The room (Superior Quadruple Room on booking.com) was very modern and air-conditioned. The receptionists were also very friendly :)

I looked for a not expenssive hotel in Athens for 5 days and found this hotel by chance. It was a great surprise. We came earlier than the check inn time and the kind respcionist told us that our room was ready and let us check inn earlier. The service was very kind and sympathetic. The room was large and had a great balkony. I was honestly surprised by the room it was really beautiful and had all the needed facilities. It was very clean as well. I highy recommend this hotel I will definately come here again.

This should be classified as a shelter instead of a hotel. We had booked for 2 nights for a family of four and regrettably I paid before we went up to see the room because when we got off the elevator, we were hit with a disgusting smell of smoke and mold. Then when we opened the door to the room there was an additional profound odour of urine in a tiny little room with 4 small single beds placed like a sleep over nightmare. We went right back down and advised the desk staff that we would not stay and requested a refund since we obviously were not going to use the room which they refused to issue as refunds are against hotel policy. From what I have been told since, this used to be a good hotel 20 years ago however, has become a hang out for druggies and hookers. Do not even consider this place for 1 night as I would literally rather sleep in a car.

The room was ok but they put a kettle and no tea bags or coffee or milk. The room has no extra pillows. I was very disappointed with the room not to my expectations. The breakfast was ok. At the reception one the young man was very helpful but older man not friendly he was bit moody

I was there for a few nights the location is nothing special it´s about 1 hour walk from downtown. The neighbourhood is quite shabby. The staff are quite helpful. I encountered an especially helpful security guard who works there (thank you!). The reception is also nice. The breakfast is alright. There is great Kebab place very nearby which I'd recommend. FYI the walls are also quite thin but luckily we had good neighbours.
